A Simple System For Maiden Races By Ricky Taylor

Last month I wrote about a system for two-year old races. In this month’s article I want to describe to you a similar system that focuses on maiden races. These events are often overlooked by punters but they often run to form.

The rules of the system are as follows:

1. Select maiden races only. Read the conditions of these races carefully because you do not want to be betting in maiden handicaps or selling maidens. The type of maiden races that we are interested in are those for horses aged less than four years. This encompasses most races for maidens

Gambling Yards

Do yards gamble on their horses? Of course they do. The question that I have been asked to write about is ‘Is it possible to determine when a yard is gambling on their horses?’ The answer to this question is much trickier to determine. I have spent a good deal of time researching into this, and have come to the conclusion that the answer is both yes and no. I know that sounds as though I am endeavouring to sit on the proverbial fence – but please hear me out.
