<< Perfect Punter Questions  A Simple System For Maiden Races By Ricky Taylor >>

Do yards gamble on their horses? Of course they do. The question that I have been asked to write about is ‘Is it possible to determine when a yard is gambling on their horses?’ The answer to this question is much trickier to determine. I have spent a good deal of time researching into this, and have come to the conclusion that the answer is both yes and no. I know that sounds as though I am endeavouring to sit on the proverbial fence – but please hear me out.

We could look at analysing bookmakers and odds, especially focusing on bookmakers that are known to deal with people in the business. Analysing the odds movements over a period of time, and comparing to which horses were running, is a possible way of determining whether a stable may be betting on their horse.
