Trainers are creatures of habit and certain trainers aim to bring their runners to peak form at different times of the year. Each month I’ll be highlighting trainers who have performed well in certain spheres for the forthcoming month.
I have noticed a recurring theme with the selections in that they do not perform as well in the early part of the month, which is not surprising, as by their nature you would expect the statistics to be stronger in the middle weeks of the month.
Personally I will not be backing any of the selections in the first week in future and for P/L accounting purposes I will be omitting the first 7 days of the month in the future.
Results date back to 1997 unless otherwise stated.
