As this report is being compiled Andy Murray is battling it out for a place in the final of the Australian Open which is one of the four Grand Slam tournaments during the Tennis season.
If he progresses past David Ferrer who knocked out his Spanish compatriot Rafal Nadal in the last round, then Murray would face the 2008 Champion Novak Djokovic who beat reigning champ Roger Federer in straight sets in the other semi-final.
Whatever the outcome the battling Scot seems destined to win a Major title sooner rather than later. It may not be your cup of tea but more and more cash is being traded on this popular sport and that can provide profit opportunities such as In-play trading on the exchanges or Arbitrage techniques between the various odds that are available throughout the events.

Cheltenham here we come
The build up begins in earnest with the culmination of many months and in some cases years of planning and preparation as the 2011 Cheltenham National Hunt Festival will be upon us within approx 7 weeks time.
Each year the best of the best do battle to emerge as a champion within their sphere from young novice hurdler through to Gold Cup steeplechaser.
This Saturdays meeting at the Prestbury Park track will provide further clues as there are no less than 5 Graded chases/hurdles races to be contested.
The current going is predicted as good to soft, soft in places and this should provide ideal conditions for a great day of pulsating action.
At this stage final plans are still being decided with double figure entries in all of the races and with that in mind it is a thankless task to try and put up actual selections.
However if we concentrate on horses with previous solid course form and with the weather still causing difficulties recent winning form from the trainer it should narrow down most of the races to a few key contenders.
Our Members have access to Daily Club Tips for the Jump racing action and these are compiled in conjunction with the Inform Racing service and tomorrow promises to be another fruitful day hot on the heels of yesterday’s stonking priced winner Thelobstercatcher @25/1 and paying 29.00 on the Betfair SP.
The FA Cup
Also taking place this weekend is the 3rd Round of what the organisers proclaim to be the ‘oldest cup competition in the world’, the FA Cup. From an initial entry list of 600-odd sides, we’re now down to just 64, which over the next five months will steadily become 32, 16, 8, 4, 2 … and then 1. Question is, which ’1′ is it going to be who lifts the trophy at Wembley on May 14th?
The FA Cup conjures up the dreams of the lower league teams with the almost magical possibility of one of them causing a major upset by knocking out one of the big Premier League teams, but is this reality or just fantasy? Either way the tabloids will fill many pages waxing lyrical about the possibilities that this tournament affords.
In the end it can all come down to the luck of the draw as the matches are determined by teams being drawn out of a bag and as such one might well expect the FA Cup to have produced a wide variety of results.
A range of winners over the past 130 or so years who have benefited as much from a good draw as good play and have had at least one ultimately successful cup run.
In actual fact, only 42 different teams have won the FA Cup since 1872.
