With dark nights nearly upon us the National Hunt season must be around the corner, and important it is to kick off with a good start to build up confidence for the coming season. Here I will show you how doing a spot of research (no excuses on these cold dark winter nights) should pay dividends throughout the season. I do recommend a copy of Raceforms excellent Trainers record for last season’s jumps, where the following useful stats can be gleaned, one of the advantages of National Hunt Racing is that Trainers are creatures of habit. If they have their string fit early on in a season it is likely that this trend will continue and by noting early trainers you can certainly gain an edge.
