How does it feel to have gone through the daily race cards and possibly found one or two betting opportunities for the afternoon, marked off your selections checked the prices and sat back and relaxed safe in the knowledge your selections are in with a great chance of winning you some money that afternoon?
A couple of days ago I thought I had found a rock solid bet at a sporting price and was going to have my maximum bet on the horse as I could not see anything in the race to beat it. The trainer was in brilliant form, he had booked a top jockey to ride it, the horse was very well handicapped, it would relish the soft ground, the distance right, it had been heavily backed early morning and was napped by some of the top racing experts. What happened? The horse trailed in a well beaten 8th of 10 runners!!
