The Weekend Bulletin (Sat 7th Dec)

Both of the suggested selections for last weekend’s Ladbroke Trophy ran with credit with Elegant Escape (adv EW 11/1) staying on well to grab 3rd place whilst Mister Malarky just missed out in 6th.

With the jumps season in full flow we can look forward to another stacked weekend of equine action which includes the Tingle Creek at Sandown and the Beecher Chase at Aintree.

12.30pm – 2m4f (Mildmay) Best Odds Guaranteed At Virgin Bet Handicap Chase

Dan Skelton has the 6yo Amoola Gold in this one having finished 3rd in a similar race at Newbury a month ago. It was only his 3rd start over fences and having been off the track for 11 months he is entitled to come on for the run. Gen 7/2.

1.30pm – 3m2f (Grand National) Randox Health Becher Handicap Chase

The 9yo Gordon Elliott trained Alpha Des Obeaux has multiples entries over the coming weekend including this race and it will be interesting to see where he rocks up. He was in the process of running a decent race in the 2018 Grand National when he fell at the Chair. 16/1 EW Gen (1/5, 5pl)
