Daily Bulletin Mon 23rd March

The Irish racing continues to keep us ticking over and today we see the start of their new Turf season with a meeting at Naas. There are 7 races on the card with the feature event being the Listed Devoy Stakes (4pm) for which the Aidan O’Brien trained Sir Dragonet heads the market at around 8/13.

The 4yo missed his 2yo campaign completely but remarkably finished 5th in the Epsom Derby on only his 3rd start where he was beaten only 3/4L having traded odds on in the run. He appears to be clear on the form ratings but there may be more to come from Brogue having only had the one winning run. The Dermot Weld trained son of Frankel was an impressive winner of a Cork maiden and clearly has the scope to develop his form at the higher levels and it will be interesting to see how he fares against the jolly.
