Daily Bulletin Weds 15th April

Whilst we await the return of the domestic equine action the racing tabloids/websites are trying their best to keep us entertained with a mixture of masterclasses and interesting pieces related to the industry both past and present.

If you didn’t catch it first time around Attheraces recently shared one from their archives which featured National Hunt trainer Martin Pipe who quite simply revolutionised racehorse training back in the early 80’s. It has a personal note as I was at the Cheltenham Festival trackside when Pipe announced his arrival on the big stage with Baron Blakeney’s shock 66-1 victory in 1981 Triumph Hurdle. I was literally counting my winnings after Broadsword hit the front after the final flight only to be caught on the line!

Back to current proceedings with Wednesday bringing us racing from the US tracks of Fonner Park, Tampa Bay Downs and Will Rogers Downs, and if our current Guest Tipster, Value Backing Naps, contacts find anything of interest the selections will be added to the forum thread around 3pm this afternoon. We seem to be going through a bit of a lull at the mo with both of yesterday’s picks finding one too good so hopefully that will be rectified asap.

Many thanks for your continued support and stay safe!
